Need.
As many have undoubtedly noticed, aviation high school is cursed with an abundance of tape and debris that lines the school's walls and ceiling-mounted pipes. These are left over from dozens upon dozens of posters being pasted to any surface possible. These pieces of tape are very unsightly, and they cause the appearance of unprofessional-ism at the school, an image we do not wish to project upon our visitors. The executives, administrators, and other assorted big-wigs do not expect to see tape hanging from the ceiling when they come to our school, so why would we display this to them?
Process, Timetable.
My project would enlist a number of students, 5 at the most, to devote their time to removing the tape and discarding it in trash receptacles. We would devote about 15 minutes after school, or more if possible, everyday for 2 weeks. This project is essential to the aesthetic properties of our school, and our general professionalism as tomorrow's leaders.
Objectives.
By the end of the two weeks, I firmly believe that we could remove at the very LEAST 50% of the school's debris, and probably closer to 70%.
Method.
My method is simple. The bus I take home doesn't arrive at my stop until 4:05, which gives me half an hour of free time that I have to do whatever I want. There are other students that also catch this bus who would be willing to assist with this project, making an instant capable work force. We would work for as long as possible, as hard as possible, for the duration of 2 weeks. At the end of the two weeks, the results will be easily noticeable, as most of the schools walls will be void of the sticky scourge.
Evaluation.
We will know after each day how productive we were, and improve on it the next day. I also plan to take pictures and videos of our service, so that viewers can see the changes. My classmates who take the bus, and others who choose to stay after school and help, will be an asset because i will have assistance. "The more the merrier", as the say.
Qualification.
This project is good for me because of my background in parkour. Parkour is basically street gymnastics, and I have more than a year of experience in it. This is relevant because of "wall passes" a wall pass is running up a wall. My skill at wall passes is applicable because I grab the pieces of tape high up on walls that other couldn't necessarily reach. Parkour has also tuned me to able to jump pretty darn high, which serves the same purpose of wall passes. As for an advisor, I think that I will ask Mrs. Fitz to be a mentor. I don't really need a mentor with this project, but it can't hurt I suppose. As I mentioned earlier, my classmates and I will work for a period of two weeks.
Budget.
The cost of this project is low, if not nonexistent. The only thing we require are bags. I have the suspicion that Aviation possesses bags, and if not, I can bring bags from home. Besides that, we require no resources. This project is very important for the appearance of our school, and it utilizes a workforce that would otherwise spend their 30 minute break between the end of school and catching the bus messing around. If this project goes well, it would be great to repeat it.
Francis,
